Last night, Tiff was exhausted. She stayed home while I went out and bought a new toy…sorry I’m not telling what it is yet.
I also managed to start the organization in the basement. I really need to set up the workbench shelving but not having a saw or a proper drill, has made it difficult. My Harbor Freight drill special, while great for drilling holes in things, sucks at screwing things in with a screwdriver adapter.

Well, we bought a beautiful house recently. We’ve only been there for 3 weeks but it sometimes feels like 3 years. Tiffany and I have been working aggressively on getting our personality added to the house.

Yesterday we managed to pull of a major piece of that. Our yard was extremely overgrown when we moved in. The prior owner had let it “do it’s own thing” for 30+ years. Over the last few weeks we were able to clean up a large portion of the leaves but there were still a lot of tree work to do. Yesterday, I stayed home from work, and the tree people came and cut down 4 of the trees that were in the way. 2 large oak trees came down, a maple, and a couple of dead trees.
All the wood was left for us, so over July 4th weekend, or earlier, I anticipate renting a log splitter. We’ll split and stack all the wood, and when the time is right, burn it in one of our wonderful fireplaces.

We’ve been inundated with 4-5 comments per day on some of our more interesting posts. Specifically the post referencing the forum/coloseum and the Google Buzz post. Sadly, not a single comment is worth posting, all junk or in czech or some other stupid language.

I found google buzz today. It’s pretty neat. Definitely a rival to twitter, but it has no 140 char limit(which twitter does).
A couple of things I like:
It has a feed, sorta like facebook/twitter. Constantly updatable
Type in a link to an image, and it automatically inserts the image along with your comments fo ryou
Gmail keeps track of any “conversations” you are having in google buzz
Things I don’t like:
No Igoogle plugin
Google didn’t create a android app for it yet(WTF?!)
I doubt there is an iphone app yet
Overall my dislikes will be resolved(I assume) over the next few weeks at the most.

Tiff and I are looking at houses now. We’re starting to look in the littleton/westford area. The houses there are nice. We found one we really like last nite. It’s sadly overpriced IMHO, but we’ll see what our brokers say.

The Laskin’s would like to wish all of our friends and family a wonderful holiday season. May the next year be sweeter then the last, and may we celebrate many years of joy with all of you!

I have finally found a full time job and will be starting right after the new year. I am really excited for this new opportunity at a great company. It will be nice to get back into the work force full time again.

Well it seems the wait is almost over regarding me finding a full time job. I went on an interview today and it is looking good for another job I interviewed for.
Only time can tell but I will be back to work full time soon enough.

Well the new job is great, it’s definitely a lot to learn to start, but it looks like I am already getting into the thick of it.
The last week has been wierd too, none of my side of the family has been around with mike/rachel in Australia and parents in Thailand. This weekend looks relatively quiet.

Well today I started my new job. The company provides a product for making the accounts payable process easier by digitizing much of it.
I am working with Mark Towle again who I worked with at Pivot.
So far there is a lot to learn and much to read. It’s very nice here.
